As shifting weather patterns and local agricultural support encouraged more coffee planting in Bursa, Mullugeta returned home in 2021 to establish Dawencho, his own drying station.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDawencho quickly gained recognition for the quality of its coffees. In its first year, Mullugeta earned sixth place in Ethiopia’s Cup of Excellence while a farmer group connected to the station placed second. The following year, four of the competition’s top ten coffees were processed at Dawencho, including the winning lot.
